Fitzgeralds Tunica Review & Photos
|
Fitzgeralds Casino Tunica
|
Fitzgeralds Tunica
Fitzgeralds Tunica, which has an Irish Medieval castle theme, is a casual, energetic casino that is popular with budget-minded locals and
travelers thanks to its combination of inexpensive meals and rooms plus low-limit gaming.
The property includes a 500 room hotel with adults-only swimming pool, three restaurants including an all-you-can-eat buffet, indoor and outdoor
parking, and a 24-hour two-level casino. A stage in the casino hosts free music acts on weekend evenings.
Fitzgeralds is located in a wooded grove along the banks of the Mississippi River next to the Tunica Riverfront Park and Museum
(home of the Tunica Queen riverboat excursions). It is a few miles from Tunica's Casino Center and Casino Strip (you'll have to drive or take a
shuttle in order to visit other casinos).

The Casino @ Fitzgeralds Tunica
Fitzgeralds casino has a light Irish theme (scattered Irish decorations). It is a lively place, although it is aging and well-worn in some areas.
There is plenty of action for low to medium rollers ($3 black jack, nickel and penny slots, etc.).
There are two levels. The lower level is crowded with slot machines and table
games, with a bar and stage towards the rear. There is free live music many nights. The second floor is a somewhat less hectic maze of slot machines,
and it is also home to the property's restaurants and buffet.
There are over 1,300 slot machines and video poker stations, and approximately 30 table games (black jack, roulette, craps, Caribbean Stud,
3 Card Poker, Let It RIde, and some others).

The Hotel @ Fitzgeralds Casino Tunica
Fitzgeralds hotel has over 500 rooms, including 70 suites. The upper floor rooms have views of the Mississippi River or woods, farmland, and coutryside.
Handicap rooms are located on the first floor.
The rooms are average to small in size, but they are handsome (see room photos), decently appointed, and usually inexpensive.
Standard amenities include an iron and coffee maker.
Swimming Pool - Fitzgeralds has a nice indoor pool, hot tub, and excercise facilities. Families take note: the pool is adults-only.

Fitzgeralds Tunica - Entertainment, Shopping, etc.
Main Stage - There is free music weekend nights here (located at the rear of the casino, 1st floor).
Gift Shop - The shop has many gift items as well as the usual sundries. This is one of the most fairly-priced gift
shops of any casino I have ever visited. For example, where other places might charge $3 or even $4 for a bottle of orange juice, at Fitzgeralds
it only cost $1.
Meetings - Fitzgeralds has several banquet rooms, the largest of which can accomodate nearly 650 people.

Dining @ Fitzgerald's Tunica
Fitzgeralds has three restaurants as follows:
- Castle Court Buffet - their all you can eat smorgasboard. Breakfast is usually very inexpensive. Crab legs are the nightly
specialty at dinner.
- Limericks Steakhouse - casual fine dining. Entrees include steak, chicken, pork, and seafood (most in the $22 to $30 range). Open for dinner.
- Shamrock Cafe - 24-hour coffee shop style restaurant. Menu includes sandwiches ($6-9), steak, chicken, etc. They also
have frequent specials such as prime rib dinner for $7.95 or $8.95, as well as breakfast specials (I tried the special one night - easily the
worst prime rib I have ever had. Yuck! But who knows, your mileage may vary).
