Harrah's has built a reputation for clean and friendly casinos with the latest slot machines, innovative promotions, and a generous nationwide slot club. The company's Tunica property has a 200 room hotel with newly renovated rooms, four restaurants, and 50,000 square feet of non-stop casino action. Harrah's Tunica is conveniently located on Casino Strip next to Hollywood Casino and across the street from Sam's Town.

At the time we visited, Harrah's had exclusive rights to some new video slot machines and had tied this in with some unique promotional events involving its nationwide network of casinos. Harrah's emphasis on these types of deals means their customers always have access to the latest games. Other nice touches include self-service soft drink fountains and coin redemption machines. No more waiting for a soda or standing in long lines at the cashier cage with a bucket of coins! Harrah's Tunica casino is tastefully decorated with a Mardi Gras theme. There is also a large bar in the center of the action, which is backed by a stage and a very big television. There are plenty of penny slots, and most of the latest video slot games are represented. Patrons can earn credit in Harrah's nationwide slot club. |
Dining @ Harrah's TunicaBourbon Street Bistro, located just inside the casino front entrance, is a casual French Quarter restaurant that is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The fare includes soup and salad ($3.50 to $8), sandwiches and PoBoys ($7), and bbq chicken and ribs. Entrees such as catfish, steak, pasta, and fish run from about $10 to $18. Club Cappuccino is a counter located on the casino floor where you can pick up some baked goods and a hot drink. Fresh Market Square Buffet features a great selection of international cuisine and southern cooking (2nd floor casino). Open for lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch. Harrah's Steakhouse is your choice for fine dining. They serve chicken ($15), fish ($19 and up), and steak (up to $36) entrees. The Steakhouse is located on the second floor of the casino.  |

The Hotel at Harrah's TunicaThe hotel has 200 rooms, which are of average size but very nicely furnished and recently renovated (see our room photos at left). Standard amenities include a clock radio, coffee maker, iron, fridge, hair dryer, and a selection of Gilchrist & Soames soaps and lotions. The bathroom was top-notch with marble floors and shower, and a granite counter top (see photo below).
