Harrah's Tunica Review & Photos
|
Harrahs Tunica
Veranda Hotel @ Harrahs Tunica
The Harrahs Tunica Resort is huge. They call it the largest resort between Las Vegas and
Atlantic City, and we believe it.
|
|
Important Notice: Grand Casino Tunica has been renamed "Harrah's Tunica". The former Harrahs Tunica Casino was acquired by
Resorts International and is now known as Resorts Tunica.
|
The sprawling and well-kept grounds of Harrahs Tunica include three luxury
hotels, a 24-hour casino, seven restaraunts,
full-service spa, Hale Irwin-designed golf course, sporting clays center, rv park, activities
center for children and teens,
first rate entertainment, and probably a lot more that we missed.

Most of the resort's facilities, including its hotels and casino,
are easily accessible via an efficient and friendly 24-hour shuttle system.

Harrah's Tunica - The Casino
Sections of the 140,000 square foot, two-level casino are tastefully decorated in a few themes including Mardi Gras and Country Western.
The first floor houses the table games and slot machines. There are over 80 table games including black jack
(single to 6 decks, $3 to $5000), roulette, craps, baccarat, Pai Gow, Carribean Stud, 3-card poker, and Let It Ride Stud.
The second floor of the casino is home to the poker room, a gift shop, and more slot
machines. There are over 2500 slot machines in total, with denominations ranging from five cents to $500.
Penny slot players will find a section with several rows of these machines on the second floor casino.

Hotels @ Harrahs Tunica
Harrah's has three luxurious hotels to choose from: The Grand Casino Hotel is located next to the casino. The other two
hotels, The Veranda Hotel and the Grand Terrace Resort and Spa, are both located on resort property approximately one third of a mile from the casino.
There is an excellent free 24 hour shuttle that runs between the hotels and casino, so
staying at any of the resort's hotels is almost equally convenient in terms of access to the casino.
Harrah's Tunica Grand Terrace Resort & Spa Hotel Room
On our recent visit, we stayed at the Grand Terrace Resort. The hotel lobby is home to the
Java Grande coffee shop and bakery, as well as a liquor bar. The Bellissimo Spa is accessible
from the lobby, and the hotel has a lovely outdoor swimming pool.
The room was very attractive, spacious, and comfortable. The drapes, carpet, and bedspread were colored with light green, and the abundance of natural light
gave the room a bright and fresh feel. The room was well equipped with a fridge, iron and board,
hair dryer, coffee maker, full length mirror, make-up mirror, plus bottles of shampoo and lotion, and a shower cap.
